As we know Mesothelioma is a kind of cancer.Once it was a rare one but now a days mesothelioma is very common type of cancer.Mostly it starts with the layer of tissue that covers each lung know as the pleura.

 But rarely it starts in the layer of tissue in the abdomen which surround the digestive system of organs known as the peritoneum.

 Mesothelioma starts in the types of cells that cover the outer surface of most of our internal body cells called mesothelioma cells.These cells forms a lining called mesothelium.

Doctors divide mesothelioma into different types based on what part of the mesothelium is affected. 

 Mesothelioma most often affects the tissue that surrounds the lungs (pleura). This type is called pleural mesothelioma.

Other, rarer types of mesothelioma affect tissue in the abdomen (peritoneal mesothelioma), around the heart and around the testicles.

 Around 9 out of 10 or 90% mesothelioma are in the chest .This is called pleural mesothelioma.Out of 3% are in tommy or abdomon This is called peritoneal mesothelioma.

Pleural mesothelioma starts between the tissue that covers of lungs known as pleura or pleural membrane.Which makes the sliding of lungs during its expansion and contraction.It also protect our lungs .
                              
The tissue that protects heart know as pericardium.Sometimes this pericardium also get affected because which pleua tissue is very close to pericardium.


Mesothelioma doesn't include a form of noncancerous (benign) tumor that occurs in the chest and is sometimes called benign mesothelioma or solitary fibrous tumor.

Mesothelioma is an aggressive and deadly form of cancer. Mesothelioma treatments are available, but for many people with mesothelioma, a cure is not possible.
